Frequently asked questions
Is jPOS made for Maltese businesses?
Yes. jPOS is designed and built in Malta. It includes the Malta VAT return, the FS3, FS5 and FS7 payroll forms, COLA, BCRS deposits and SEPA bank files.
Can I use jPOS for a restaurant, a shop and a hotel at the same time?
Yes. One jPOS account covers restaurant, retail and hotel, with accounts and payroll — even several companies or outlets, each with its own figures.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The retail till and the restaurant order screen keep working offline. Sales are kept on the till and sent to the system as soon as the connection is back.
Does it work with Bolt and Wolt?
Yes. Bolt and Wolt orders come into jPOS on their own and go straight to the kitchen, without typing them in again.
Can you supply the POS hardware?
Yes. We can provide the touch screens, receipt and kitchen printers, cash drawers, scanners, scales and customer displays, set them up with jPOS and support them locally.
Do I need to install anything?
No. jPOS runs in the browser on PCs, tablets and phones. A small print agent is only needed on the computer that drives the printers, cash drawer and other devices.
